Job summary

One More Child seeks a Family Support Worker to assist at‑risk families within the Tampa community. You will manage a caseload, engage families in case management, and link them to resources through the Compassion Center and partner programs. Evidence-based approaches such as TBRI and Family Check Up will guide your work.

You will collaborate with caregivers to develop service plans, perform timely documentation, and participate in ongoing training and supervision to strengthen family well‑being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with minimum two years of experience working with families in welfare or at‑risk settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field is required in the preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 10-12 families (up to 15) under supervision.
• Engage families in services and facilitate evidence-based interventions (e.g., TBRI®, Family Check Up®, Motivational Interviewing).
• Maintain weekly/bi‑weekly contact via home/office visits, calls, or other correspondence.
• Develop individualized family service plans with caregivers and assist with tasks to meet goals.
• Link families to community resources and tangible Compassion Center resources.
• Attend supervision meetings and participate in training, workshops, and program development.
• Complete data entry and required documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
• Engage in outreach to increase referrals within service areas.
