Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet federal/state requirements to act as passport application agent (required for full-time Library Services Assistant assigned to locations offering passport services)

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with diverse library needs and basic information.
• Processes all material types and devices.
• Handles daily monies, prepares revenue reports and deposits.
• Performs routine shelving, merchandising, shelf reading and reporting tasks.
• Manages library customer accounts and payments (cash and electronic).
• Assists with reservations, meeting spaces, and program outreach (in-person or virtual).
• Guides users in navigating the website, databases, and public computers.
