Job summary

Boothbay Region YMCA in Boothbay Harbor, ME is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Worker to support the daily operation of our community campus. You will perform cleaning, light maintenance, grounds care, and safety checks, collaborate with staff, and help with events while keeping spaces safe and welcoming.

If you are reliable, able to multi-task, hold a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days, and have a valid driver's license, apply to join our mission-driven

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
• Team-oriented and positive communication with staff and the public.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Promote the YMCA's mission, values, and community focus.
• Maintain and secure facilities, monitor activities, and ensure safety and licensing standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and stock supplies across Main Campus and Camp Knickerbocker.
• Assist with light maintenance, repairs, and equipment upkeep.
• Coordinate grounds work: mowing, snow removal, and trash collection.
• Help move furniture for programs and events and report repairs as directed.
• Build authentic relationships with participants and support program staff.
• Act as a Mandated Reporter when abuse or neglect is suspected.
