Zekelman Industries in San Tan Valley, AZ is seeking a Community Maintenance Manager to lead the safety, efficiency, and welcoming environment of our community facilities. You will partner with maintenance staff, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely repairs, preventive programs, and cost-effective upkeep of community infrastructure.

This onsite role requires hands-on leadership, strong planning, and technical expertise in maintenance management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in facilities management preferred.
• 3–5 years in maintenance management with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance strategies.
• Experience with budgeting and preventive maintenance planning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and allocates resources.
• Schedules and oversees repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Plans and improves operational procedures to optimize resource utilization.
• Monitors quality control and maintenance reports to guide decision-making.
• Collaborates with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and contract negotiations.
• Assists in preparing and monitoring the maintenance budget and controlling expenditures.
• Fosters positive relationships with residents and resolves maintenance-related concerns.
• Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory standards.
