Job summary

Sheboygan County is seeking a Custodian to maintain County facilities, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for employees, residents, and visitors. The role includes daily cleaning, restrooms, floors, dusting, and trash disposal.

You’ll work on a first shift indoors, operate cleaning equipment, follow safety procedures, and report maintenance or safety concerns. Flexibility to support different locations and independent work style are valued.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining County buildings through daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Sanitizing restrooms, clinical areas, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintaining floors and carpets using specialized cleaning equipment.
• Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables.
• Restocking cleaning supplies and organizing storage areas.
• Performing periodic deep-cleaning duties including vents, stairwells, baseboards, and other detailed cleaning tasks.
• Assisting with opening and closing facilities to help ensure building security.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
• Supporting custodial operations across multiple County buildings as needed.
