Job summary

Islamic Society of Baltimore is seeking an Events Coordinator to support planning and execution of community events and programs. You will coordinate logistics, vendors, and volunteers to ensure events run smoothly and engage ISB members and affiliated programs.

Responsibilities include collaborating with ISB departments, tracking resources, and preparing event summaries. Evening and weekend availability may be required to support event needs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and coordination abilities to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse groups.
• Ability to work effectively with volunteers, vendors, sponsors and staff.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation.
• Capacity to plan and coordinate multiple event aspects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating events and programs hosted by ISB and affiliates.
• Coordinate event logistics, including layouts, space planning, equipment, and vendor placement.
• Communicate with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and partners about participation and requirements.
• Maintain documentation: schedules, vendor lists, layouts, permits and plans.
• Support volunteer coordination and tasks during events.
• Assist with event setup, onsite coordination and post-event breakdown.
• Collaborate with ISB departments to ensure coordination and communication.
• Track operational needs including equipment, supplies, and facility usage.
• Prepare and submit event summaries, reports, and related documentation.
