Primary Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-functioning CES team that upholds our highest standards of hospitality and customer service. Coach and mentor staff so hospitality standards and sales goals are consistently met.

  • Use data to set goals, then build and manage the annual budget.
  • Process phone and email reservations for clients booking venue rentals and education programming, maximizing the use of Discovery Lab resources.
  • Keep the sales team sharp on active and passive sales strategies while delivering world-class hospitality to every client.
  • Partner with the development and marketing teams to maximize mission-driven impact.
  • Grow earned revenue year over year, partnering with the education, guest engagement, and development teams to innovate on sales strategies and educational offerings.
  • Champion Discovery Lab’s activities, events, and attractions to community stakeholders.
  • Support grant writing and management.
Primary Management Responsibilities
  • Support and manage the staff who carry out community engagement, venue rental, and program sales.

  • Collaborate actively across teams and serve on cross-functional committees.

All positions at Discovery Lab are required to assist with front-line operations as needed and may be assigned other duties as applicable by their direct supervisor. This position description is representative of the major position requirements and is not intended to be all-inclusive.
