Seeking

Community Engagement staff to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their family homes and out in the community.

Hours

Community engagement staff may work up to 10 hour shifts per the family's schedule. Shifts may be scheduled any day of the week. You may work with multiple families, and driving from one home to the next is possible. Tasks depend on the Services the family qualifies for, eg: Respite services, PAC services, DHI Services, and Transportation.

Referral Bonuses and Employee of the month ($100) and House of the month ($75 /person) Bonuses are offered to all staff.

Training

All training and certification is provided and paid for by AID of Indiana. And you’ll be on the clock as soon as you start training!

Pay

$16.25/hr

Locations

We have offices in Fort Wayne and Muncie, but provide services to individuals throughout Indiana. Available positions vary based on location.

Qualifications

Skills Required

Compassionate, reliable, and can work independently. Assisting the client with "light" house cleaning, prepping meals, going out into the community for activities, teaching life skills. Can potentially include helping with ADLs (activities of daily living), which includes bathing, dressing, and other hygiene tasks.
