Job summary

Texas A&M University–Kingsville is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator to foster positive external relationships and promote the university’s impact across South Texas. The role reports to the Chief Marketing, Communications, and Community Relations Officer and focuses on coordinating partnerships, events, and outreach programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Strong relationship-building and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, school districts, and community leaders.
• Represent the university at community meetings, networking events, chamber functions, and public gatherings to foster partnerships.
• Coordinate logistics for community engagement events, including registrations, vendors, materials, scheduling, and volunteers.
• Track engagement activities, partnerships, sponsorships, and outcomes; prepare periodic reports and dashboards.
