Job summary

The University of Arizona, Mel Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, seeks a Program Coordinator in the Phoenix area to collaborate with health departments and community partners. The role focuses on organizing outreach programs, events, and initiatives that promote public health engagement and address local needs.

The position supports ongoing community engagement activities, tracks impact, and coordinates Street Medicine Phoenix programming for high-risk groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Health or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between MEZCOPH and community members, ensuring effective and transparent communication with Phoenix and Maricopa communities.
• Support existing community engagement activities including materials development, events, speaker series, and presentations.
• Assist with tracking and reporting impact of community engagement and outreach to youth, adults, and life-long learning.
• Coordinate Street Medicine Phoenix public health programming and leading community events for high-risk populations.
• Coordinate, train and supervise SMP Public Health Volunteers.
• Maintain community partnerships and represent SMP Public Health Program at external meetings.
• Keep accurate data collection for SMP-Public Health program including data entry, reporting, and inventory tracking.
