Job summary

Ounce of Care is seeking a Part Time Community Navigator in Washington, DC to serve residents in affordable housing. You will work one day a week onsite, engaging residents, coordinating benefits, and connecting them to local services.

As a face of Ounce in the community, you will build trusted relationships, document interactions in our platform, and collaborate with housing partners to ensure consistent, high-quality engagement for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience navigating government benefits (e.g., SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP, Medicaid)
• Able to work on-site in DC and engage residents with a residents-first mindset
• Community-based work in affordable housing is preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage residents through door-to-door outreach, events, tabling, and outreach calls.
• Coordinate referrals, document interactions in the Ounce platform.
• Build partnerships with DC-area community organizations and service providers.
• Plan and host on-site programming with monthly engagement opportunities.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as part of the Ounce community team
