Job summary

Community of Hope in Washington, DC is seeking a Temporary Community Outreach Specialist to work 30 hours per week at Conway Health and Resource Center. You will collect feedback from community members to improve programming and raise awareness of COH resources.

This on-site role involves canvassing, event participation, and liaison with partners to expand Bellevue Family Success Center services. GED, transport, and ability to lift 50 lb are required; evenings/weekends and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Canvasses various locations and maintains outreach presence in Wards 5, 7 & 8.
• Identifies community outreach and engagement activities and events.
• Tables at public events and partner events.
• Gathers feedback from patients and clients to inform programs.
• Engages with the community, answers questions, and disseminates COH information.
• Gains interest in Bellevue Family Success Center services and attends community meetings.
