A primary focus of this role is to represent Bay Federal at networking events, forums, community coalitions, and public speaking engagements—positioning the Credit Union as a trusted community partner and advocate for financial well-being. In addition to serving as a visible and active community representative, this position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy, managing partnerships and charitable programs. This position also works closely with the Community Support Committee Chair to align employee volunteerism and internal initiatives.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Flexible schedule required, including availability for occasional evening and weekend events at community locations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Represent Bay Federal at networking events, public forums, panels, and civic functions—building awareness, fostering goodwill, and forming mission-aligned relationships that drive long-term impact and growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic community engagement plan that reflects Bay Federal’s mission, values, and brand goals.
  • Identify key focus areas (e.g., financial literacy, education, housing support) and align community initiatives and partnerships to amplify impact.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, educators, and advocacy groups to expand the Credit Union’s visibility and influence.
  • Establish and manage metrics, event calendars, vendor relationships, reporting tools, and staffing needs to evaluate success and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Deliver compelling presentations on topics such as financial wellness, community involvement, and social responsibility at both internal and external events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute Bay Federal-hosted and sponsored events while supporting employee volunteerism and engagement efforts.

You’re Perfect For This Role If You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading community engagement, CSR, or event-based initiatives.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role with experience training and coaching others.
  • A track record of successfully leading programs from concept through execution, including budget management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences—bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • A passion for community building, a flexible schedule for attending events (evenings/weekends), and exceptional organizational skills.
