Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Officer for the Queenstown area to foster strong relationships with residents and local leaders. You will design and implement engagement strategies, organize events, and promote programs that benefit communities in the Eastern Cape.

The role requires excellent communication, project management, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse groups, ensuring meaningful, sustainable engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community development or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience in organising and managing events and projects.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and engagement principles.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement and participation.
• Organise and manage community events, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Serve as a key liaison between the organization and community stakeholders, leaders, and residents.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and organizational strategy.
• Promote the organization's services and initiatives through various communication channels.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships within the Queenstown community.
