Job summary

Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is seeking a Coordinator of Community Engagement to support donor relations and drive engagement through food and funds drives, events, and cause marketing. You will cultivate relationships with individuals and organizations, coordinate resources, and align engagement activities with organizational goals. Hours: M-F 8am-4pm.

Salary range $44,000-$46,000 based on experience. Travel within the 8-county service area and occasional out-of-state conferences may be

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; business/communications/non-profit preferred.
• 2–5+ years in fundraising or administrative support in mid-to-large nonprofits.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for groups seeking to engage with the Foodbank and coordinate engagement activities.
• Coordinate logistics and support for community engagement events and fundraising drives.
• Implement community engagement strategy for major campaigns like Harvest for Hunger and the Holiday Campaign.
• Represent the Foodbank at external events to expand the network of engaged prospects.
• Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, volunteer, and program teams to align engagement efforts with goals.
• Provide stewardship updates and ensure timely documentation of donations and outcomes.
