Job summary

Opportunity Partners is seeking an Employment Specialist II to support individuals with disabilities in securing community-based employment in East Metro communities (North St Paul, Woodbury, St Paul). The role focuses on skill building, independence, and coordinated support planning through a person-centered Employment Plan.

Responsibilities include intake, on-site training, case management, and liaising with employers and IDT members to ensure successful placements and ongoing services.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year of experience preferred.
• Associate degree in a related field plus two years of experience preferred.
• Diploma in a related field plus three years of experience preferred.
• Minimum 50 hours of education and training related to human services plus four years of full-time experience with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with securing community-based employment according to their preferences and the Employment Plan.
• Assess and document the need for support/training and provide on-site training as needed.
• Provide case management so services are initiated, evaluated, and communicated effectively to stakeholders.
• Develop and coordinate a support plan that identifies employment strengths to enable independent employment.
• Market services to potential employers and referral sources to obtain placements and related services.
• Complete intake and annual paperwork to meet billing requirements.
• Assist individuals in developing work skills in real-life situations and help them find meaningful work.
• Grow and develop social skills through employment and community activities.
