Qualifications

• Two years of direct service experience in employment services or social services or refugee/immigration setting required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of labor laws and labor market trends.
• Implement an employer outreach strategy for clients' job opportunities.
• Educate and support employers, negotiate accommodations, and follow-up with employers/educators.
• Advocate for clients for better hours, pay, benefits, and fewer barriers.
• Orient clients to the program and help them obtain competitive community employment.
• Complete employment assessments and enroll new clients.
• Assist clients in understanding how cash and rental assistance interact with earned income.
• Provide Pre-Employment Orientation on wages, rights, benefits, and related topics.
• Develop Individualized Employment Plans to address barriers to employment.
• Maintain records of client activity and employer interactions.
• Provide follow-along support to maintain employment for 90 days.
• Spends 65%+ of hours in community settings meeting clients and building employer relations.
• Maintain and file records of employment activity and performance standards.
