Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health seeks an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities find meaningful community-based employment. The role partners with VR counselors and community employers to create job opportunities tailored to strengths and goals.

You will develop resumes, accompany clients to interviews, document weekly updates, and conduct job development activities.

Qualifications

• Requires willingness to provide community-based support and travel.
• Valid NC driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to document weekly communications with participants.

Responsibilities

• Create connections with community employers to identify jobs for individuals served.
• Develop resumes, accompany to interviews, and communicate qualifications to employers.
• Document communications with caseload weekly and in EMR within 24 hours.
• Conduct primary job development activities for the program.
• Maintain case records per licensing & funding standards.
