Job summary

No More Empty Pots (NMEP) is a grassroots nonprofit in Omaha hiring a Community Education Manager to lead education programs, outreach, and partnerships. The role shapes strategy, designs curricula, and collaborates with schools, nonprofits, and community partners to improve outcomes.

The position requires 3+ years of management experience, a degree in education or related field, and experience with trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Program development, project management and facilitation experience.
• Familiarity with comprehensive food systems and STEAM subjects including nutrition; home, school, and community gardening.
• Experience with vulnerable populations and creating supportive learning environments.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of community education programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
• Oversee design and delivery of engaging educational experiences with evidence-based teaching practices.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, businesses, and community partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Community Education team through clear expectations and accountability.
• Develop program operations, scheduling, documentation, contracts, reporting, and financial stewardship.
