Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of retail or related experience preferred.
• Commitment to the faith-based mission and values of Carpenter's Place.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage multiple tasks in a busy retail environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Team Leadership: Create a welcoming, friendly shopping experience and model the mission and values toward customers, donors, and team members.
• Daily Store Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and inviting store environment; stock shelves and ensure proper merchandising.
• Merchandising & Stocking: Update store displays and keep merchandise accessible and well-organized.
• Register Operations & Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and handle voids/refunds per policy; ensure funds security and deposits.
• Opening, Closing & Communication: Open/close per schedule; report issues to Store Manager; adhere to policies and safety standards.
