Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Donation Pickup & Delivery Driver for local routes. This full-time role requires up to 40 hours weekly with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, and pays $20.00 per hour.

In addition to driving, you will handle loading/unloading and ensure safety and professionalism with donors. You will perform inspections, follow DOT/OSHA regulations, and represent the org with courtesy while supporting program funding through donated goods

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficiency with mobile applications.
• Basic computer skills including payroll system.
• Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from destinations following scheduled routes.
• Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure security and safe handling of goods.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Train and certify new Production Assistants.
• Act as a representative of The Salvation Army and maintain donor relations.
• Coordinate with dispatcher to report pickup issues.
