Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Community Director to lead, market, and maintain our apartment community, while maximizing team resources and resident satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, and the ability to coach a diverse team to deliver exceptional property performance across leasing, maintenance, and service operations.

Regular collaboration with residents, vendors, and leadership is essential, with some travel to other properties and occasional weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years of on-site management operations experience are required.
• Yardi software experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance are required.
• Willingness to work weekends and emergencies as needed.
• Ability to travel within major metropolitan areas as needed.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to achieve property goals.
• Create and monitor the property operating budget.
• Lease the community and market the property.
• Maintain positive resident relations.
• Oversee make-ready process and service requests.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Review and approve payroll.

What You Will Do

As the Community Director, you will manage, market and maintain the apartment community while maximizing employee resources. Your drive, leadership, and managerial skills are essential to forming a successful team and supporting the continued growth of each team member. Engaging, business savvy individuals will excel in this position. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Leadership: You will facilitate a high performing team through frequent communication and coaching of diverse skillsets to ensure property success.

Quality Control: You will provide feedback to the team on their performance, while building sustainable relationships through trust and interactive communication.

Expense Management: You will review and analyze the property budget to ensure expenses are maintained within guidelines.

What Your Day Consists Of

Work Environment:

Work is performed in both office and field environments within residential apartment communities. Position requires regular interaction with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members in a fast-paced customer service and operational setting. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and maintenance or construction activity may occur.

Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent walking of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting common areas, amenities, and apartment homes. Position involves standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of office or marketing materials up to 25 pounds. Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments with regular interaction with residents, team members, and vendors.
