Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) seeks an experienced Community Director to lead a Central Texas apartment community, elevating resident experiences and team performance. You will steer daily operations, budget adherence, leasing activity, and service quality.

You will mentor onsite staff, collaborate with HR and regional leaders on hiring and development, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and regulations while upholding AMP’s high standards of safety and appearance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of multifamily property management experience.
  • Experience leading onsite teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Strong financial and operational management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems; Yardi experience is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of Fair Housing and apartment industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the community, driving occupancy and financial performance.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing onsite team.
  • Partner with HR and Regional Leadership on hiring, onboarding, and staffing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive resident experience.
  • Oversee leasing operations and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and regulations.
  • Manage rent collections, delinquency, and evictions per policy.
  • Prepare and monitor operating budgets to improve financial performance.
  • Maintain lease files, reports, and records.
  • Build relationships with vendors and contractors while ensuring insurance/contract compliance.
  • Ensure the community meets AMP’s appearance, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor market conditions and implement competitive strategies.
  • Communicate with Regional Leadership on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities to support community success.
