Job summary

TruFund Financial Services, Inc. seeks a Loan Officer to process loan applications, evaluate credit data, collaborate with underwriting teams, negotiate terms, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the lending process.

The role focuses on identifying and expanding lending opportunities, providing technical assistance, and managing borrower relationships from origination through loan booking. Strong community development focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required in Finance or a similar field.
• 5–7 years of lending experience with formal credit training.
• Experience with community development lending, SBA loans, and traditional and alternative loan programs.

Responsibilities

• Meet with loan applicants to collect financial data and determine loan merits.
• Guide applicants through the application process and negotiate terms.
• Evaluate loan applicants and review appraisals, credit reports, and other information.
• Coordinate with loan processors and underwriters to ensure accurate loan analysis and documentation.
• Increase TruFund’s loan program visibility and promote lending activities.
• Deliver educational workshops and community events as designated by the Chief Lending Officer.
• Work with loan collections staff to contact delinquent borrowers and avoid default.
• Cultivate lending opportunities in underserved markets and respond to referrals.
• Promote a positive attitude and teamwork in customer relationships.
