Job summary

Low Income Investment Fund is seeking a Credit Officer responsible for managing and supporting credit functions while overseeing the Special Attention Loan portfolio. The role requires close collaboration with the Chief Credit Officer and will include guiding Originations and Underwriting staff on credit policies and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, strong lending skills, and experience in community development finance to help impact low-income communities positively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the growing credit needs of LIIF.
• Oversee the Special Attention Loan portfolio.
• Guide Originations and Underwriting staff on lending policies.

Strong lending/credit skills

Experience in real estate-based lending

Strong organizing and time-management skills

Experience in underwriting complex transactions

Problem solving in multiple markets

Proficiency in analyzing financials of nonprofit organizations

Working experience with financial institutions and public agencies

Attention to detail

Self-motivation and flexibility

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Finance

Advanced degree preferred

10 years of experience in credit, lending, or community development finance
