Job summary

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is seeking a Direct Support Professional – CDS Instructor to deliver meaningful activities and trainings under supervision. You will implement individual plans, supervise client participation, and document progress within the Interdisciplinary Team framework at our Aurora program location.

Ideal candidates bring a background in human services and experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, with CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with relevant experience is preferred.
• Associate’s degree plus three years’ experience in direct support also acceptable.
• High School diploma with five years direct service experience with ID/DD is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage, teach, and involve clients in meaningful activities daily.
• Assist with personal care tasks and implement individual plans.
• Document attendance, progress, and incident reports timely.
• Maintain safe environment and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support client goals.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field

Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field

High School graduate/GED + 5 years experience with individuals with ID/DD
