CPL is seeking an Architectural Market Sector Principal for the Community & Culture Practice in Raleigh, NC. This leadership role drives growth by nurturing strategic client relationships and guiding pursuits across public and cultural markets.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with community needs and CPL’s design philosophy. The ideal candidate has a professional degree, 12+ years of experience with at least 5 in project management, and licensure

Qualifications

• Professional degree (or Master’s) in your field from an accredited institution and have at least 12 years of related work experience, with at least 5 in a Project Manager role.
• Professional licensure (RA)
• Recognition as an expert in your field, often serving on professional organization boards and committees

Responsibilities

• Lead growth and business development for CPL's Community & Culture Practice across municipal and cultural markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in libraries, parks, museums, theaters, and government facilities.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities while expanding existing client partnerships.
• Lead client presentations, workshops, and community engagement sessions.
• Oversee multiple projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Guide teams in developing strategies and creative design solutions reflecting community needs.
• Monitor performance metrics and contribute to revenue and profitability goals.
• Promote CPL’s value and strengthen reputation as a premier partner for communities and cultural destinations.
