Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Upton, MA seeks a Community Crisis Stabilization Counselor to provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. This part-time position supports acute care residence operations and aims to stabilize crises and facilitate transition to community living.

Schedule includes Sundays 7am–3pm, with pay of $21.21–$22.27 per hour depending on education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with one year’s experience or High School Diploma and three years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to document progress and activities in program records in English.

Community Crisis Stabilization Counselor

The Community Crisis Stabilization programs provide both short and long-term care for persons experiencing mental health, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorders who might otherwise require treatment in an inpatient setting and would benefit from structured stabilization, support, care coordination, and treatment planning.

Location: Upton, MA

Job Type: Part-Time

Responsibilities

Working as part of a team in this acute care residence, staff will provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community, and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living. Interactions between staff and consumers will be guided by an appreciation for those being served as unique individuals and adults, with the expectation and goal of crisis or situational stabilization.

Schedule

• Sunday, 7am–3pm (8 hours)

Rate

• $21.21/hour with High School Diploma
• $22.27/hour with a Bachelor’s Degree
