Job summary

Fldocjobs in Gainesville, FL seeks a Parole/Probation Specialist to support community corrections by managing intake, processing offenders, and ensuring accurate records in OBIS and related systems. You will interpret sentencing documents, verify offender data, assist with orientation programs, and help coordinate pre-release activities while reporting to the appropriate FDC office.

This is a non-telework, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Background screening: Level 2 background check required.
• US work authorization and Veterans’ Preference documentation apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day intake and processing of offenders.
• Interpret, code, and enter sentencing documents and monetary obligations into CDC and OBIS databases.
• Verify offender data and establish initial computer records for new commitments.
• Screen criminal records information through NCIC/FCIC and other databases.
• Coordinate community service work activities and assist with job needs.
• Ensure offender photographs for the department’s website.
