Job summary

FosterAdopt Connect is seeking a Community Connection Youthrive (CCYT) Specialist in Kansas to provide one-on-one services for young adults ages 17–26 who are in or from foster care. You will help set goals for a successful transition from foster care to independent adulthood and connect them with community resources.

You will build trust, coordinate supports, and empower young adults with guidance while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of hardship contributing to empathy and connection.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong writing skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to rapidly build rapport and trust.
• Travel required with or without accommodation.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• Personal lived experience of childhood or adolescent hardship or adversity that contributes to empathy, resilience, and an ability to build authentic connection with young adults who have experienced disconnection from family or other support systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to write clearly, concisely, and effectively for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust.
• Travel required with or without accommodation.
