Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter/Janitorial for our Texas communities. You will perform cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance across indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring clubhouses, pools and shared areas stay welcoming and well cared for.

Responsibilities include floor care, surface cleaning, restroom sanitizing, waste management, and reporting issues. We value safety, reliability, and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Maintain community common areas, including the clubhouse, restrooms, fitness center, amenity spaces, hallways, and other shared facilities.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize, and perform routine floor care.
• Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, countertops, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty trash and maintain cleanliness throughout common areas.
• Assist with litter removal and grounds cleanup at clubhouses and parks.
• Monitor inventory and maintain cleaning supplies; handle chemicals per OSHA.
• Adhere to safety procedures and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and presentation.
