The City of Huntsville (Parks & Recreation) is seeking a Community Center Supervisor to oversee and coordinate recreation programs, activities and events at a large community center. You will plan, promote and schedule programs, manage facilities, and supervise a small staff of recreation leaders.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and some experience in administering recreation programs, plus a valid driver's license.

Community Center Supervisor Position Overview:

This is professional work in supervising and coordinating recreation and community service programs, activities, and events. Work involves responsibility for planning, implementing, promoting and coordinating recreation and community service programs, activities and events at a large community center. Work also involves planning and scheduling of recreation facilities and for overseeing operations and maintenance. Work requires frequent contact with community leaders and various civic groups. Supervision is exercised over a small staff of recreation leaders.

Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Marketing, Communication, or a related field from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and some experience in the administration of recreation programs; or any combination of education, training and experience.

Valid driver's license
