Job summary

The City of Huntsville (Parks & Recreation) is seeking a Community Center Supervisor to oversee and coordinate recreation programs, activities and events at a large community center. You will plan, promote and schedule programs, manage facilities, and supervise a small staff of recreation leaders.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and some experience in administering recreation programs, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, physical education, marketing, communication, or a related field from an accredited institution; some experience in administering recreation programs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate recreation and community service programs, activities and events at a large community center.
• Plan and schedule recreation facilities and oversee operations and maintenance.
• Promote and coordinate program implementation and community outreach.
• Foster frequent contact with community leaders and civic groups.
• Supervise a small staff of recreation leaders.
