Job summary

The City of Greenville, SC, seeks an experienced Recreation Center Director to oversee and coordinate community center activities and operations. You will manage day-to-day operations, plan and execute diverse recreation programs, supervise staff and volunteers, and ensure safe, engaging experiences for all ages.

Responsibilities include facility maintenance, budget oversight, and community outreach to identify needs and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field as specified.
• Experience in planning and managing diverse recreation programs.
• CPR & First Aid certifications required or obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement recreation programs including camps, afterschool, arts, senior, teen, and special events.
• Supervise full-time, part-time, seasonal staff and volunteers; set performance standards and evaluate.
• Maintain facility and grounds; coordinate repairs and safety with supervisors.
• Monitor program budgets, revenues, expenses, and prepare monthly reports.
• Promote programs and engage local stakeholders to expand participation.
