Job summary

The Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia in Fairfax, VA is seeking a skilled Building Superintendent to support the safety, functionality, and day-to-day upkeep of a large community facility. This hands-on role handles plumbing, electrical, HVAC-related tasks, and general repairs to keep the building welcoming for members and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in building maintenance or related trade.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs incl. plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, painting and patching.
• Troubleshoot facility issues and complete repairs promptly and safely.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and prepare spaces for events.
• Coordinate with vendors and staff for repairs and maintenance.
