Job summary

The Municipality of Bethel Park is seeking a casual Recreation Center Assistant to provide friendly customer service to residents, assist with clerical tasks in the Recreation Department, and perform light janitorial duties within the Community Center.

This on-site position requires open availability during Community Center hours and the ability to handle registrations, rentals, and payments, while keeping accurate records and assisting with special projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of customer service experience recommended.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Professional communication and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information on Recreation & Municipal inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Process recreation program registrations and fee payments.
• Assist with rental requests and coordination of tables/chairs.
• Keep accurate records of rentals, reservations, and payments.
• Maintain Community Center schedule and assist with deposits and reports.
• Perform light cleaning and upkeep of the facility as needed.
