Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of programs for adults and small children.
• Familiarity with county policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in first aid and CPR; building maintenance; coordinating events; supervising workers.
• Mastery of record keeping and filing.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Certification: valid state operator/driver’s license for vehicle/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with participants and staff; may serve as receptionist, recreation specialist, or groundskeeper.
• Monitor activities and maintain attendance and other records; inform supervisor of issues.
• Answer calls, assist with rentals and program information; handle faxes and mailings.
• Assist with groundskeeping tasks: mowing, planting, trimming, and general upkeep.
• Keep facilities, equipment, and supplies neat, orderly, and clean.
• Ensure safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
