Job summary

The Outreach Team in Nebraska is hiring community canvassers and team leaders to support a Senate campaign. Positions include full-time and part-time with pay starting at $22/hour plus bonuses; training paid at $18/hour for the first 3 days; team leads start at $24/hour.

Locations include Omaha, Lincoln, Fremont, Gretna, Nebraska City, Beatrice, Seward, and Grand Island. Shifts run 11:45am to 8pm on weekdays and weekends; roles involve engaging the public, collecting survey data, and training

• Culturally competent and respectful in diverse communities.
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters.
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols.
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day.
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful.
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.

We are looking for Canvassers to build support in the community for Dan Osborn for Senate in Nebraska’s upcoming election. If you believe that real political power is built from the ground up through deep organizing and face-to-face conversations, we want you on our team in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $22/hour, Paid training at $18/hr for first 3 days. Team Lead positions start at $24hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Locations: Omaha, Lincoln, Fremont, Gretna, Nebraska City, Beatrice, Seward, and Grand Island.

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through 11/3/26 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 11:45am - 8pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
