Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Akron, OH seeks a Community-Based/Day Program Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments, patient visits, and up-to-date treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults in community and home settings.

Preferred candidates hold a BSW with 1 year therapy experience or MSW/Professional Counseling licensure; valid licenses as listed; valid driver's license and ability to travel within the service area; comprehensive benefits and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field with one year of therapy experience, or Master's degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling.
• Licensed: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMFT, LIMFT, LIMFT-S.
• Therapy/counseling experience preferred.
• Experience in home-based settings preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
• Provide patient visits as scheduled.
• Ensure treatment plans are up to date for each client.
• Complete comprehensive and succinct progress notes.
• Communicate and follow up regarding client status.
• Collaborate with case management and/or psychiatric services.

Responsibilities may include

• Performing comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
• Providing patient visits as scheduled.
• Ensuring treatment plans are up to date for each client.
• Completing comprehensive and succinct progress notes.
• Communicating and following up as needed regarding the client's status.
• Working collaboratively with those providing case management and/or psychiatric services.

Requirements for this position include

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field with one year of therapy experience or a Master's degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling.
• Social Work/Professional Counseling License or equivalent: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMFT, LIMFT, LIMFT-S
• Experience in therapy and counseling is preferred.
• Experience within a home setting is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
