Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to coordinate outreach for infectious diseases in high-burden settings. You will liaise with homeless shelters, carceral facilities, and state hospitals to implement infection control and case management.

The role includes supervising staff, data collection, vaccine-related activities, and education for providers and community groups.

Qualifications

• BSN with nursing license in MA.
• Master's Degree in nursing, education, or public health preferred.
• 3-5 years public health experience required.
• Prior communicable disease tuberculosis experience preferred.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and follow-up of communicable disease cases in community settings.
• Perform surveillance, prevention and control measures and health education.
• Supervise staff and assist in orientation and staff development.
• Provide nursing support for CDC Division activities and TB clinics.
• Educate healthcare providers and community groups on communicable disease prevention.
