Job summary

Avant Supported Living LLC in Missouri seeks a CBS Manager to bridge service delivery and outcomes, leading a team of Mentors and driving community and employment initiatives. You will coach the team to help clients find belonging, purpose, and professional fulfillment.

In this role you’ll recruit, train, and supervise mentors, coordinate shadow shifts, and manage schedules for correct mentor-client matches.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in disability services, social work, or vocational rehabilitation.
• Experience with Supported Employment models and job coaching.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Community Support Mentors; conduct shadow shifts and schedule management.
• Develop and oversee Supported Employment initiatives; build local employer partnerships; supervise job coaching for retention.
• Ensure regulatory-compliant documentation; serve as primary family contact; coordinate monthly team meetings.

The Three Pillars of Your Role

• Respite & Mentorship: Overseeing in-home and community-based mentors to ensure high-quality care, safety, and meaningful engagement for families.
• Community Networking: Guiding mentors to integrate clients into local social circles, clubs, and civic life.
• Supported Employment: Developing partnerships with local businesses, supervising job coaches, and helping clients find — and keep — meaningful competitive employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and supervise Community Support Mentors; conduct "shadow shifts" for real-time coaching; manage scheduling for the right mentor-client match.
• Supported Employment Oversight: Network with local employers for inclusive job opportunities; help clients identify strengths and career goals; oversee job coaching for long-term retention.
• Program Operations: Ensure documentation meets regulatory standards; act as primary family contact; facilitate monthly team meetings.
