Job summary

Michiana Behavioral Health, a UHS facility, seeks a full-time Community-Based Response Peer Support Specialist for its Intensive Outpatient Program. You will build readiness to change and engage individuals in the community while reducing stigma.

Responsibilities include trauma-informed engagement, linking clients with navigators for insurance, coordinating with community partners, and ongoing training. A supportive, growth-oriented role within UHS facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) or Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC I and CAPRC II) required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Crisis Peer Certification preferred.

COMMUNITY-BASED RESPONSE PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST - Full-Time

Michiana Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time community-focused Peer Support Specialist for our Intensive Outpatient Program. A Peer Support Specialist will work to build readiness to change and engage individuals in the surrounding community in a way that respects the person in their environment and serves to reduce stigma.

Responsibilities include:

• Engage with individuals requesting support through Connect Marshall County app in a trauma-informed manner that allows for rapport building


• Connect individuals with Navigators as needed to obtain insurance


• Connect with community partners to verify available resources and update the app with current information


• Participate in trainings to continue to gain new skills


• Attend meetings as required
