Pathways to Life, Inc. is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join the Community Support Team in Greenville, NC.

This full-time role involves meeting adults where they are—at home or in the community—providing recovery-oriented peer support within a multidisciplinary team. You will build relationships, lead recovery groups, and help clients set goals across wellness, coping skills, and daily living while navigating housing, healthcare, and transportation resources.

Qualifications

• Current NC CPSS certification.
• Personal lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid NC driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Willingness to complete NCI-B and CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Build trusting, recovery-focused relationships and share your lived experience to inspire hope.
• Provide one-on-one peer support and lead recovery groups.
• Help members set and reach their own goals, from wellness and coping skills to relapse prevention, employment, and daily living.
• Connect members to housing, healthcare, education, transportation, benefits, and other community resources.
• Take part in Person-Centered Planning and contribute to your members’ plans.
• Use motivational interviewing and other recovery-oriented strategies, with training and support from your Team Lead.
• Document services accurately and on time in our electronic health record.
• Share progress and concerns with your Team Lead and the CST.
• Respond to crises and emergencies using agency procedures, with team backup.
