Job summary

Pathways to Life, Inc. is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to deliver community-based recovery services in Greenville, NC and surrounding counties. You will work under supervision with therapists and care managers to support each member's Person-Centered Plan.

Responsibilities include peer mentoring, group facilitation, and connecting members to housing, employment, education, and healthcare resources. Travel throughout the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Must have NC CPSS certification.
• Lived recovery experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NC driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, recovery-focused relationships using your lived experience.
• Provide one-on-one peer mentoring and recovery coaching.
• Facilitate recovery groups focusing on wellness, coping skills, relapse prevention, budgeting, employment readiness, daily living skills, and community integration.
• Help members identify and achieve personal recovery goals.
• Connect members with housing, employment, education, healthcare, transportation, benefits, and other resources.
• Strengthen natural supports and build meaningful community relationships.
• Promote self-advocacy, wellness, resilience, and independent living.
• Participate in Person-Centered Planning and support recovery goals identified in the Plan.
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
