Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Graduate of state Parent Peer Specialist training.
• Possess current Certified Parent Peer Specialist certification or certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one peer support to parents and caregivers in community settings, including family homes.
• Build trusting, professional relationships with youth and families using your lived experience.
• Help families navigate mental health, behavioral health, youth justice, and child welfare systems.
• Advocate alongside parents to ensure their needs and voices are heard by the Child and Family Team.
• Identify crisis triggers and strengthen parenting and crisis-management skills.
• Develop and implement Plans of Care and Crisis Plans with families.
• Attend weekly supervision and participate in trainings and team meetings.
