Job summary

Special Education District of Lake County is seeking a Job Coach to support students with disabilities in community settings. The role collaborates with the Vocational Facilitator and Transition Specialist to provide feedback on student skills and progress.

The position involves data collection, training in work skills, and maintaining professional relationships with partner businesses while following safety and confidentiality protocols. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Prior experience working with individuals who have disabilities is preferred.
• Experience with data collection and technology is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with business partners.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Vocational Facilitator in implementing the student's IEP goals.
• Supervise and train students in developing work skills and behaviors.
• Collect data, complete time trails and evaluate student progress.
• Work independently and with the team to create accommodations based on student needs.
• Maintain relationships with business partners and communicate transportation, safety and confidentiality procedures.
