Tanager Place is seeking a Community Based BHIS Caseworker at our Main Campus in Cedar Rapids, IA. This full-time role offers a meaningful career helping children build skills and confidence while coordinating with a team to deliver comprehensive services.

The position requires a 4-year degree in social services and relevant experience, with up to 25% travel. A driver’s license is required to support field work and family visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant post-degree experience in human services.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training provides the necessary knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide skill-building services addressing mental health needs.
• Deliver direct care services to children and families.
• Coordinate with professionals to ensure comprehensive services for the child and family.
• Focus on seven areas: cognitive flexibility, communication, conflict resolution, executive functioning, interpersonal relationships, problem-solving, and social skills.
