Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in Modesto is seeking a Member Service Specialist II at our Modesto Branch. This non-exempt role focuses on accurate cash handling and delivering trusted financial guidance to members.

You will process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments, open deposit and specialty accounts, and identify opportunities to offer Golden 1 products. Commitment to confidentiality and community service is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1+ years year of prior experience in a cash handling service oriented role required.
• 6+ months as a Member Service Specialist I or teller role at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and audits deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries within a cash drawer.
• Provides Golden 1 services including cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers and debit card issuance.
• Assesses members needs while processing transactions and documents in EnAct system.
• Identifies opportunities to help members with Golden 1 products and services.
• Identifies and report fraudulent activity to management and Financial Investigations dept.
• Assists in the operation of ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser Units and other responsibilities as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of all member and credit union information.
• Opens deposit and specialty accounts and identifies members’ financial service needs.
