Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Community Banker to provide personalized client service at our Bend, OR South branch. The role focuses on understanding client needs and delivering appropriate banking solutions, including checking/savings, IRAs, CDs, and loans.

You will engage with clients in person and by phone, perform teller duties, and identify referral opportunities to broader banking services while maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards of professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years banking or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized client service in person and over the phone.
• Opens and maintains checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and credit cards.
• Holds financial conversations to determine client needs and provide solutions.
• Processes new consumer loan requests; may handle small business loan requests.
• Identifies referral opportunities and documents activity in CRM as needed.
• Builds client relationships through outbound outreach and proactive engagement.
• Performs teller duties including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
