Jobot is seeking a Community Association Attorney to advise condominium, HOA, and cooperative boards across Florida from our Fort Lauderdale office. You will provide day-to-day counsel, draft documents, and navigate governance issues, covenants, and fiduciary duties for diverse communities.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., active Florida Bar status, and 3+ years in community association law, with strong drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in condominium and community association law preferred.
• Experience advising associations on general representation matters.
• Strong knowledge of Chapters 718, 719, and 720 Florida Statutes.
• Experience attending and advising at board and membership meetings.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience representing luxury, mixed-use, high-rise, and master-planned communities.
• Familiarity with covenant enforcement, governing document interpretation, and association operations.
• Experience working directly with community association managers and board members.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to condominium, homeowner, and cooperative associations.
• Advise boards of directors on compliance with Florida condo and HOA laws.
• Attend board and membership meetings as needed.
• Draft, review, and amend governing documents.
• Counsel clients on governance, fiduciary duties, elections, records requests, and enforcement.
• Guide reserve requirements, budgeting, and operational compliance.
• Review and negotiate vendor and service contracts.
• Advise on interpretation and enforcement of governing documents.
• Assist associations with dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions and notices.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas for comprehensive solutions.
